An Apple representative confirmed that the new iPhone this year will be delayed for “a few weeks”

Recent years, Apple holds its fall presentation in early September. They represent the next generation iPhone and in a week or two, closer to the end of September, the first lucky ones will receive their new gadgets. But this year, plans had to change and the iPhone 12 will be available a few weeks later. This information was announced by chief financial officer Apple Luca Maestri.

“As you know, last year we started to sell the iPhone in late September. This year deliveries will start a few weeks later,” said Maestri.

Rumors about a similar Apple solution went a long time. In early summer, the head of Broadcom, one of the component suppliers for the iPhone, shared the assumption that the presentation of novelties will take place later than usual. Another indication was the financial report of Qualcomm, which it published yesterday. The chip maker had to adjust the profit forecast for the current quarter (July-August-September). Previously, the company expected that in September, there will be a significant increase in sales of 5G devices, and therefore profits. But due to the transfer of a “global issue 5G-device” from an unnamed client, I had to change and forecast.

And still a question about exactly when the line iPhone 12 will go on sale remains open. At the moment the forecasts are quite vague — suggest that smartphones may be delayed until November or even December. As for the presentation of Apple, yet also not clear whether it will be held in September, or will be rescheduled for a later date.
