Consumers trust Apple with their data with greater confidence than Twitter, Google or Facebook. This is evidenced by the results of a public opinion poll conducted in conjunction with the Recode SurveyMonkey. According to its results, only 2% of respondents questioned the reliability of the company from Cupertino.
The aim of the study was to find out how consumers are interacting daily with the products of several technology companies, don’t trust them with personal information. The survey participants were asked to vote against one of the 11 brands that store information about users.
The least the trust of consumers, as expected, causes Facebook. To trust their data to the social network refused 56% of respondents — too fresh were the memories of the recent scandal with the leak of information. In second place by a large margin and the result of 5% is Google.
Wanting to emphasize their concern about the safety of user data, Apple has added in iOS warning function about information collected for an application. Thus, Apple has tried to make the dialogue between user and developer is more transparent and secure.
