Recall that in mid-January 2019 the exchange was hacked and hackers stole $ 16 million. Thus the management of the exchange to the last did not want to admit to hacking, but it still had to be done. However, thanks to diligent cooperation with law enforcement authorities in New Zealand rehabilitation takes place quite rapidly.
Cryptopia has returned to work on March 18 and has resumed trading on 40 currency pairs. All users are also allowed to cancel open orders, to somehow compensate for the losses. It should be noted that all this time the representatives of the exchange had an active interaction with the subscribers and users of the exchange. Perhaps this helped them not to lose reputation.
Please ensure you only deposit to newly generated deposit addresses. Cryptopia Deposits to old addresses will not be covered.
