Mozilla has just released a huge update for its Firefox browser on the Android platform, which brings with it a lot of new features and improvements. Most of these features come directly from the computer version of the same browser to make the user experience more smooth and unified on all operating platforms.
Initially, the address bar has been moved to the bottom of the screen so you can access it more easily if you are using a large one-handed smartphone. And if you don't like this change, you can always bring it back up every time you want to.
Since Firefox is geared towards privacy lovers, Mozilla has improved its tracking blocking feature so that there are now three presets that include the basic setting, the strict setting, and the private setting so that the basic setting remains the default, and although it will not prevent advertisers from being tracked, only It will continue to help prevent your Internet activity from being tracked. Another similar feature coming from Firefox Focus is the ability to open links in a new, private window.
A new feature called Collections works the same as Bookmarks, but the links that are grouped into Collections are the links that you want to view later or read when you have time without having to open many windows in the browser.
The new update also brings some love to third-party add-ons. Extensions were supported in the previous version of the browser, but most of the basic plugins are not modified to work on mobile devices. That's why Mozilla has now started validating mobile plugins so that you can have a suitable experience on these devices, and 10 add-ons have already been approved, but this number will increase over time.
The "picture in picture" feature has also made its way to the Firefox browser on the Android platform, with the knowledge that this browser also witnessed with the new update a 10 percent increase in page load times thanks to the modifications to the GeckoView engine.
If you did not get this update yet, go to the Google Play Store and update manually, it is available in Europe and North America at least starting from this moment.
