Nearly a third of all iPhone owners made a purchase using Apple Pay over the last year. This was reported in the new study, analysts Loup Ventures.
According to experts, the number of users of the payment service Apple currently is 252 million people — about 31 % of the entire user base of iPhone. Apple itself does not disclose statistics for Apple Pay, but recently, CEO Tim cook said that in the third quarter of 2018 was committed almost a billion transactions using this service.
The number of partner banks Apple Pay is also increasing, and in July Apple said that more than 4,900 banks support this feature. The number of banks working with Apple Pay, increased in 1701, which testifies to the 55% rise in North America, to 141 % in Asia and 370 % in Europe.
Apple Pay is much more popular abroad, with 85% of the user base have in other countries, and only 15 % to the USA.
Now Apple Pay works in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Switzerland, Hong Kong, France, Russia, China, Japan, New Zealand, Spain, Taiwan, Ireland, Italy, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, UAE , Brazil, Ukraine, Norway and Poland. Apple intends to expand the list of countries, including Germany, this year.
