Don’t know about you, but when I switch the language layout of the keyboard on iOS often gets the button dictation. To say that it’s annoying, then don’t say anything, because at this point, you actually lose a couple of seconds, waiting until the function is activated, simply in order to disable it. But as it turned out, Apple has provided the opportunity to make key activate dictation all gone from the keyboard. Tell how to do it.
- To remove the dictation button from the keyboard of iOS, go to “Settings” — “General” — “Keyboard“;
- Find the setting “Dictation” and turn it off;
- Open any application where there is a possibility of typing, and make sure the dictation is missing.
Disable dictation, as a rule, makes sense on the iPhone with smaller screens. Due to the miniature diagonal keys on the keyboard look very small, which often can lead to all sorts of trouble like involuntary activation dictation. On large models of the iPhone and the iPad, where the screen size is much more this problem arises, it is much less.
Apple does not recommend disabling the dictation because it supposedly can affect the susceptibility of Siri and this feature on the Apple Watch. Needless to say that none of these problems makes itself felt after disabling dictation. However, if the need arises, you can always return the dictation button on the keyboard. To do this, follow the above steps in reverse order.
