The popularity of in-app purchases, which is the main source of income for many app developers is growing at an unprecedented pace. This conclusion was made by analysts of consulting company Sensor Tower. According to the researchers, the results of the 2017 iPhone owners spent on in-game goods for a quarter more money than the year before.
The average iPhone user spends on in-app purchases nearly $ 60 annually, says the Sensor Tower, which is 20% more than last year. Of them 36 dollars “deposited” in the games, and the remainder is evenly distributed between social networks and applications to entertainment and lifestyle-oriented.
The calculations did not take into account the user cost for the purchase and renewal of subscription streaming services and real goods purchased via the mobile app retailer.
The expansion of the audience of fans in-app purchases, obviously, is a consequence of the increasing number of downloadable apps, noted by analysts App Annie. “In 2017, the iPhone users from the US average installed four new apps is more in comparison with indicators of last year”, — said the experts.
