LG announced its flagship G6 in February last year. The smartphone has a 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels, dual camera, 4 GB of RAM and outdated Snapdragon 821. The device runs on Android 7.0, and on Monday it will begin to update to Android Oreo.

Newsletter updates will begin on April 30, reports Phone Arena. First taste of Oreo feel the residents of the home for LG market — South Korea. Then the update will reach other regions. The exact dates for other countries is not known.
Android Oreo 8.0 will give users the LG G6 with an improved interface, a mode “picture in picture”, better performance, and autonomy. Journalists do not rule out the introduction of some functions of artificial intelligence, which recently debuted at LG ThinQ V30s.
After G6 the company promised to update older model G5 and V20. The timing of release of update for them is also unknown.
