McAfee: malicious apps store Android to track fugitives


Discovered a group of researchers from the security software company McAfee that a group of hackers are North Koreans, they put three apps to include malicious software on the store “Play Store” to prevent the Android platform, which is aimed at dissidents who have left North Korea to South Korea.


According to the published site phonearena India, once download malware and install them, you copy contacts, photos, text messages from the victim’s PC and sends it to hackers in North Korea, the applications include three Egyptian one deals with food ingredients and name of Food Ingredients Info, the app the remaining two safe and two names AppLock and AppLockFree.


And McAfee are similarities between the malware attacks the recent attack discovered in January last, where it is reported that the group hacked North Korea called “sun” Tim was responsible for the attacks, especially since the records of information that have been discovered by McAfee from Dropbox and Yandex pertaining to immigration new world, came from the same test devices that use a Sun Team in the previous campaign.
