According to the head of the state Corporation Roscosmos Dimtri Rogozin, speaking at a lecture at Moscow state University, Russia’s Roscosmos plans to carry out the first landing of the Russian cosmonauts on the moon in 2030. After that, the state Corporation plans to create on the surface of the satellite module of a permanent lunar base. Rogozin during his presentation noted that manned flights to the moon scheduled for 2029-2030 years, the news Agency RIA “Novosti”.
“2029-2030 years, manned flights to the moon. 2029 — flight tests, 2029 — a comprehensive study of the moon — automatic lunar Rover, 2030 landing a man on the moon — lunar landing complex, after 2030 — module of a lunar base”, — stated in the presentation of the head of Roscosmos.
According to earlier reports, the first manned mission landing of the Russian cosmonauts on the surface of the satellite will last 14 days. As the primary means of delivery of astronauts to the moon is planned to be used being currently developed new prospective spacecraft “Federation”.
In conversation with journalists of RIA “news” the head of the cosmonaut training center Pavel Vlasov noted that the formation of the crew for the first manned test launch of the “Federation” will be held until 2021. In 2022 planned unmanned launch of the spacecraft on the carrier rocket “Soyuz-5” from the cosmodrome “Baikonur”.
According to him, usually the procedure of preparing people for space flight takes two years. But since the speech in this case goes about the program of preparation for future flights to the moon, the crew of the new ship will have to cook a little longer.
“It turns out that not later than 2021, we should determine the basic composition of the crew. In 2022, when to be held unmanned flight vehicle, the all-purpose crew already held”, — said the Agency interlocutor.
In 2023 the planned unmanned launch of the “Federation” to the International space station. Roscosmos plans to dock the spacecraft with the ISS in automatic mode. The first flight crew on the new ship, which will also be posted to the International space station, scheduled to begin in 2024.
Earlier it was stated that the use of a spacecraft “Federation” for delivery of astronauts to the ISS is planned only during test missions. For the regular delivery of people to the space station will be sufficient “Unions”. The Federation in turn are developing for missions to the moon.
