Samsung CJG5 — gaming monitors of the past

Samsung has introduced a line of gaming monitors CJG5 Curved Gaming Monitor. While it included only two models that are identical, except for the diagonals of the screens.

We have a 32-inch model C32JG5 and 27-inch C27JG5. Interestingly, this curved monitor with the classic aspect ratio of 16:9, which is today a rarity.

The resolution of the novelties is 2560 x 1440 pixels, the radius of curvature of 1800 mm. In monitors are VA panels, so the picture quality should be fine.

Time monitors of game, they should have increased frame rate. In this case it is 144 Hz, but Nvidia G-Sync or AMD FreeSync is not a word. I have the feeling that we play monitors of five years ago. Well, except that the curved panels give them a contemporary device.

The maximum brightness declared equal to 300 CD/m2, contrast ratio — 3000:1. Response time is 4 MS. Set of ports includes HDMI 2.0, HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort 1.2, and headphone output. As for prices, talking about 400-500 dollars. I think these monitors will appeal to those who do not like modern “tenkosei”.
