Scientists from around the world are trying to create the most detailed history map of the human body. Ideally, the completed 3D model is to show how tissues and organs function and interact with each other at the cellular level. The creation of the 3D model involved the establishment of the National institutes of health, referred to in abbreviated form as the NIH. The project is called HuBMAP, which stands for Human BioMolecular Atlas Program. According to scientists, they create an “open, global framework for a comprehensive display of the human body”.
Several research groups have already received grants to get started. The head of one of them is a Professor of computational biology and machine learning Ziv Bar-Joseph (Ziv Bar-Joseph). According to him, the project HuBMAP is the spiritual successor of the project “human Genome”.
