Over the past few days the account Made by Google, Twitter and Instagram has released a series of design videos materials used in the products “search companies”. In these videos demostriruet the device Nest Hub, Pixel 3 and Pixel Slate, and the videos are very beautiful and are worth to see.
The first video about the design of Google, released on Friday, June 7, shows the four colors of tissue that encloses the Nest Hub: Chalk (white), Charcoal (black), Aqua (green), and Sand (pink). Can be seen, the length of which is only 22 seconds, is a set of abstract forms and soft hues, and the background plays almost hypnotic music. Fully assembled Google Assistant Smart Display will show only at the very end of the video. Each video is accompanied by equally quick signature on the design principles of the company:
Good design is a process. The materials we use are carefully selected and improved, so the end result is a perfect mix of form and function.

Saturday’s video showed us the “back” of the smartphone Pixel 3, is made of “curved glass”, which smoothly enters the area of “soft touch plastic”, which creates a very nice tactile feel. The main message here is that the bar is made entirely from start to finish. There is a particularly beautiful shot that shows the finished flowed separately from the other parts of the smartphone.
Good design takes into account the end-user from the beginning. Pixel 3 is curved glass with a soft touch, giving a smooth tactile surface.

Next design video Google is focused on tablet Pixel Slate, especially on the keyboard. This video shows the holes in the top of the enclosure, laser cut. While the whole magnetic design of the tablet lacks stability (especially on the knees), rounded keys of the keyboard felt just fine.
Good design is in the details. A variety of contrasting materials adds richness and softness to the feeling of interaction with the Pixel Slate.

In the last two videos shows the process of spraying “the mixture of pigments” on the rear glass panel Pixel 3 in color Not Pink and the adaptive function of adjusting the brightness of the Ambient EQ at the Nest Hub.
Good design is thorough. Pixel 3’s paint and color comes from a mixture of pigments which is then sprayed back onto the glass creating a unique glass appearance. pic.twitter.com/x6jcb5Em3F
