The company has slightly revised plans regarding the sales of electric cars.
A week ago we reported that the electric car Tesla Model 3 finally became available at a price of $35000. Along with this, the company said that it plans to close dealerships and to sell cars exclusively online. This will save resources, which in turn would reduce prices by about 6%.
However, Tesla has revised its policy and decided to leave the dealers open. The company did not specify the reasons for this, but stresses that the price of expensive versions of Model 3, Model S and Model X will grow by about 3%.
“Over the past two weeks we thoroughly evaluated every Tesla dealership and decided to leave open a greater number of points than had been announced earlier”, – reported in the company blog. Some previously closed dealerships will be opened again, but with fewer employees.
However, the process of sale of electric cars will still be focused on online. In showrooms, the company’s employees will help customers place orders directly from their smartphones. Want to buy electric car from in the cabin will be available for only a small number of options.
