Recently Huawei has introduced a smartphone Nova 3i and Kirin SoC 710, which became the basis of innovations.
This is an important platform for Huawei. As I already wrote in the previous article, first, this is the first 12-nanometer platform Huawei. Before this the company used a 16-nanometer process technology, or 10 nm. Second, it has replaced 659 Kirin, which was already pretty tired, and its presence in the smartphone worth 10-12 thousand hryvnias a bit surprising.
So, Kirin 710 contains four Cortex-A73 2.2 GHz, four Cortex-A53 with frequency of 1.7 GHz and GPU Mali-G51 MP4. In the last newsletter, I suggested that performance all of this should be somewhere between Snapdragon Snapdragon 636 and 660.
If we talk about Geekbench, everything about it came out. The test shows that the new product is gaining 1601 and 5457 points in odnopolie and megapolice respectively. This is a clear level 636 Snapdragon, and Snapdragon 660 there is also very far away.
AnTuTu score of about 140,000 points. CPU gaining 66 000, and GPU — 22,000 points. The CPU is closer to the Snapdragon processor 660 and GPU to Snapdragon 636. In General, the game play is quite comfortable. In addition, there is the notorious GPU Turbo, distinct reviews of which I, unfortunately, was never found.
Total, in the face of Kirin 710 we got a great modern, efficient and power efficient platform for mainstream smartphones, what’s not to enjoy.
