Not so long ago, the European space Agency (European Space Agency) began work on two projects intended for long-term space travel. These projects will be implemented in the framework of the ESA Concurrent Design Facility, which aims to carry out research related to the possibility of using hibernate mode (roughly, a deep sleep with slowing of physiological functions) of astronauts during space missions. In particular, during missions to Mars and potentially other planets of the Solar system and perhaps beyond.

The engineers of the European space Agency propose to use for this hibernation capsules.
