TikTok confirms Trump government's prosecution

Tik Tok confirmed yesterday, Saturday, that it will file a lawsuit against the Trump government in response to the measures previously taken against Tik Tok and ByteDance, the developed company, to stop their dealings in the United States of America and to insist on selling Tik Tok to an American company.

The spokesperson for TikTok stated that the company, throughout the past year, was trying to show its goodwill and trying to improve relations with the Trump government, but the other party was not giving a real opportunity for that.

Also, it was indicated by Tik Tok the importance of the law and its interference in the matter on the one hand, and on the other hand it was indicated that the measures taken by the Trump government were based solely on personal desires and were not supported by actual investigations. It is reported that Tik Tok was downloaded more than 315 million times only in the first quarter of 2020 and has millions of users around the world.

The decision that was taken against Tik Tok is to stop its business within 45 days – from August 14 – in case ByteDance is given an opportunity for a period of 90 days to dismantle TikTok and sell the American part to an American company!
