Vivo, the company continues to introduce new and unusual solutions in their devices. At MWC 2018 the manufacturer has brought a conceptual smartphone Apex, which is almost completely devoid of the framework around the display.
The company claims that the 6-inch OLED display (Full HD+) prototype is 98% of the front panel. The width of the top and side of the part is only 1.8 mm, bottom — 4.3 mm. the fingerprint Scanner as in the model X20 UD Plus, built right into the screen.
Apex supports the new technology Half-Screen In-Display Fingerprint Scanning, which allows you to attach a finger scan to a small icon, and a much larger part of the display.
Interesting solution the developers came up with for the front camera, if necessary, it extends for 0.8 seconds as the periscope. Its resolution is 8 MP. Another feature of the smartphone is the technology Screen SoundCasting that turns the display into a speaker. As for proximity sensors and light, they say only that they are hidden.
Yet Vivo no plans to release smartphones in the proposed design, but it is worth noting that the idea is pretty interesting.
