Volkswagen has introduced a loaded hybrid the Touareg R

On the eve of the Geneva motor show, Volkswagen has shared information about the new crossover Touareg R.

The Geneva motor show this year will be held from 5 to 15 March, and automakers are in full swing stirs interest in him. In particular, Volkswagen will bring to the exhibition a new hybrid crossover Touareg R which offers excellent dynamic performance.

New Touareg R is a complete plug-in hybrid that can travel on electric propulsion for up to 48 kilometers (battery capacity is 14.1 kWh). The crossover is equipped with a bunch of three-liter turbocharged V6 petrol engine (250 kW/335 HP) and electric motor (100 kW/134 BHP). The total power of 456 HP with a torque of 700 Nm. The car received eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h at the Touareg R is on the order of 5 seconds. Top speed is limited at around 250 km/h. To the actuator, the crossover can accelerate to 140 km/h. The car also features a new version of the Travel Assist system that assists the driver at any speed up to the maximum (250 km/h).

The Touareg R is the first representative of the range of Volkswagen R, equipped with a hybrid power plant. The car is offered with designer Black Style pack which includes 20-inch wheels accents and R-Line. In sale the novelty will arrive in the second half of 2020.
