If you still prefer to keep a backup of your devices operating system iOS through iTunes, it will be easy to figure out where those backups. Follow these steps to see which says iTunes store the backups.
On a macOS
- Open a Finder window.
- Click on Go then Go To Folder.

After that, you’ll find the backup for your iPhone and iPad backed up through iTunes, where it is combined with a long series of volumes of letters and numbers.
In Windows, it’s more complicated depending on which version of Windows you are using.
For Windows XP, go to:
\Documents and Settings\(User Name)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Lose Windows 7 or 8 or 10:
\Users\(user name)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
From there you can delete backups manually to save space on the hard drive, or copy them to external hard drive to get a backup of the backup.
