Xiaomi have a serious problem with Android 10

Update – this phenomenon, which for most users of smartphones running Android is virtually non-existent. Despite the fact that Google regularly and on time releases new versions of its operating system, manufacturers often ignore them and either adapt with considerable delay, when the approach turns out to be the next update, or pretend they do not exist in principle. Nevertheless, there are and responsible vendor who genuinely care about their customers and try to provide them with support. It is a pity, not always successfully.

Xiaomi company this year has become a living example of the saying “wanted as better, and it turned out as always”. The litmus test here was, oddly enough, Android 10. Deciding to provide users with as many branded smartphone update, for some reason she did not realize that the haste in this matter to the good never. Because, as it turned out, several devices Xiaomi has suffered from mediocre optimization Android 10. They turned out to be Xiaomi Mi 9T, 9T Mi Pro, Pocophone F1 and Mi 9, owners are faced with the widest range of bugs.

Most of all went to the owners of the Xiaomi Mi and Mi 9T 9T Pro, which is also known under the name of Redmi K20 and K20 Pro, respectively. Immediately after updating to Android 10, users noticed that smartphones have become unnatural enough to live from charging. In most cases the apparatus was discharged to 30-50% faster than before, always indicating as the reason for discharge the Android operating system. No display, no apps, no wireless interfaces, which is usually the main source of energy consumption, namely the operating system.

Owners of Xiaomi Mi 9 disappoint a serious bug, which led to the fact that the installation of certain drawings desktop caused endless reboots. Smartphone like crazy, starting to spontaneously turn on and off the screen every one second. After that, the unit three times vibrated and displayed a menu with three possible actions: reboot, rolling back to factory settings and contacting support. But to correct the situation helped only hard reset, which most of the users and were forced to resort.

Why Pocophone F1 is not updated

With Pocophone F1 everything went relatively smoothly. Long time users had no idea that with the update something is wrong, but eventually found out that Xiaomi silently withdrew Android 10 for this model of smartphone. The company representatives explained this by the large number of system bugs that prevent stable operation of the device, and therefore decided to withdraw it for revision. The result is Android 10 for Pocophone F1 who have not installed the update the first time, still not available.

Well, there is still Xiaomi Mi A3. It would seem, what problems can occur? It’s one of the few smartphones of the brand, operating on the basis of pure Android. For it had nothing to adapt, and simply redirect the update to users directly from Google’s servers. But there it was. Despite the fact that Google has already released the first beta Android 11, Mi A3 still has not received even Android 10. Even Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite received, and A3 Mi — no. What’s the problem, Xiaomi doesn’t explain, but regularly – for the fifth month promises to release an update in the near future.
